Our Core Disruptors
Made for Our Kids, Not Just Any Kids
Most programs are one-size-fits-all. SeedED was built specifically for Black children, blending the beauty of our language and culture with proven reading science. Your child sees themselves in every lesson.
Fixing What Schools Skipped
We don’t teach the basics you’ve already tried. We go straight to the 14 key sounds that most schools—and most programs—leave out. These sounds unlock fluent, confident reading for your child.
You’re Part of the Process
Other programs expect you to hand your child over to a screen or tutor. SeedED equips you to lead the way at home, with easy tools and support that fit your family’s real life.
The Sounds They Skipped—We Re-Teach.
There are 14 phonemes (letter sounds and sound combinations) most schools overlook. Not your fault. Not your child's.
Many teachers trained before 2000-2021 never learned them. Many teachers trained after 2001 are unsure how to incorporate them into their lessons. That's the system's failure—not yours.
SeedED re-teaches these sounds with tools made for home. We meet your child where they are and help you build from there.
While other programs teach basics, SeedED focuses on the critical 14 phonemes (letter sounds and sound combinations) that are frequently missed in traditional schooling. Mastering these sounds is key to unlocking fluent, confident reading for your child.
What you get:
Live student instruction & parent support
Easy how-to videos with aligned activities
Tools to track progress with confidence

Why We Built SeedED
In 2017, Dr. Karen Bradford, educator, district administrator and state department of education associate, saw a pattern: Black children were struggling to read—not because they couldn't learn, but because they weren't taught with their dialects and language variations in mind.
The issue: African American English (AAE) is a full language. But schools ignore it. That gap shows up in red ink, referrals, and missed potential.
SeedED closes that gap with a proven model: P.L.O.T.™ (Parent-Led Organized Teaching).
It gives parents the tools, structure, and coaching to co-lead reading at home—based on how our kids actually speak and learn.
The SeedED Team has helped 100s of families. Double-digit growth. Real results. Now it's your turn.
